New Funding for World Class Cancer research

The Minister for Health announced a further $20 million over four years for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre alliance to deliver new clinical trials for cancer patients.

An additional $12.2 million to support cancer research projects through the latest Victorian Cancer Agency funding round was also announced.

The Andrews Labor Government has not wasted a single day in the fight against cancer and every breakthrough in research is another triumph in that fight.

With more Victorians than ever before surviving cancer, this is not the time to slow down.

These investments in clinical trials and research will allow new projects on advanced melanoma, acute myeloid leukaemia, lung cancer and many others to flourish.
