Labor Reinstates Bus Service For Northern Deer Park

The Andrews Labor Government is reinstating bus services between Sunshine Station and Brimbank Shopping Centre via northern Deer Park, after the former Liberal Government scrapped services for locals.

Member for Kororoit Marlene Kairouz and Member for St Albans Natalie Suleyman today announced the new Route 422 bus service, which will give bus coverage back to residents in northern Deer Park.

The new Route 422 will run hourly between 7:00am and 8:30pm on weekdays, 8:30am to 7:30pm on Saturdays and 9:00am to 6:30pm on Sundays.

The route will operate between Sunshine Station and Brimbank Shopping Centre, via Station Road and Tilburn Road and Forest Street, with a one-way journey time of about half-an-hour.

Transport for Victoria will review patronage at the end of 2018 and make recommendations for future services in the area.

This upgrade is part of the Labor Government’s Better Bus Services program, which is delivering more bus services, more often across Victoria.

Route 422 services will start on 29 October with the new timetable available soon on ptv.vic.gov.au.
